Today at Woodberry, a woman was stabbed in the chest.
Woman stabbed in New South Wales Hunter region
Around 10am, a 39-year-old lady was stabbed in the upper torso on Segenhoe Street.
Following reports of the incident, three road crews, according to NSW Ambulance, were dispatched.
The Westpac Rescue Helicopter critical care team provided assistance to the patient, who was later transported to the John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition.

A 37-year-old woman was reportedly detained at the scene, escorted to Raymond Terrace Police Station, and is aiding with investigations, according to NSW Police.
The alleged criminal and victim knew one another.
The scene of the crime has been identified, and investigations are ongoing.
What happened to the woman?
When they got there, they discovered a 39-year-old lady who had had many upper body stab wounds.
Before being taken in a Westpac chopper to John Hunter Hospital in a critical condition, she was given medical attention on the scene by paramedics.
Her condition is now stable.
NSW Ambulance Inspector Joel De Zuna statement
Inspector Joel De Zuna of NSW Ambulance said the victim was “extremely lucky” not to have suffered more severe wounds.
He praised the paramedics for their work in removing the woman from the site and transporting her to the emergency medical team that had arrived by helicopter.

“The critical care physician and the paramedics tried to stabilise the woman for transport to the hospital and control the bleeding.”
“Stab wounds generate unpleasant injuries that can be difficult to cure since organs and blood arteries may be penetrated. This patient was extraordinarily fortunate.
Police are still looking into everything.
Motive behind this attack
Police claim that the women are acquainted, but there is no proof that they were living together in a domestic partnership.
Police in Port Stephens-Hunter, according to Chief Inspector Rob Post, have not yet determined if the attack had a purpose.

“A lot of witnesses have been identified,” he stated.
