At around 11:15 BST, the Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service received reports of a wildfire in the Boscawen Park, Malpas region.
At 12:09 PM on Saturday, the team tweeted the breaking news: “We are aware of a grass fire in the region of Boscawen Park, Malpas, Truro. A police officer, two additional appliances, and one appliance are already on the scene. Soon, a Newsdesk update will be published.

This afternoon, firefighters are battling a wildfire blaze in Truro. 22 calls had been placed to Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service as of this morning at 11:18.
The newsdesk of the service provided the following update, which stated: “Critical Control started getting 999 calls at 11.18am advising them of a wild fire in the region of Boscawen Park, Truro. Truro’s one appliance was quickly mobilised.
The Truro neighbourhood of Boscawen Park has received three fire crews. The firefighters promptly dispatched one Truro equipment to the scene and asked for more help.
From Tolvaddon, two additional appliances and one cop are in route to the scene. According to a fire department spokesperson, Critical Control started getting 999 calls at 11:18 alerting them to a wildfire in the vicinity of Boscawen Park in Truro.
Three appliances—two from the Tolvaddon community fire station and one from St. Austell—were on their way while one appliance was already on the scene.
Six appliances in all had arrived at the scene by 13:30 BST to put out the fires.

“As of right now, this incident has garnered a total of 22 calls.”
Behind towering trees, grassland appears to be where the fire is located. Along Malpas Road, there is a sizable and well-liked recreation area called Boscawen Park.
