Kristin Cavallari said in a recent interview divorcing former Bears quarterback Jay Cutler was both the "scariest" and "best thing" she's ever done.

Kristin Cavallari opened up about her divorce in a recent interview on the “School of Greatness” podcast, confessing that parting ways with now-ex-husband Jay Cutler was “the best thing I’ve ever done.”

With that, she elaborated, “Being in a relationship where I was really unhappy, that wasn’t going to work for me.

Earlier in the conversation, she reflected on the split and the broader impact it has had on her life as a whole.

“As we get older life starts to make sense,” she added. “Life is really exciting to me now. And I’m just I’m ready for everything that’s coming my way.”

Meanwhile, Cavallari’s 2016 memoir, “Balancing in Heels,” describes that Cutler had “envisioned himself being the sole breadwinner and his wife staying at home.”

Cutler and Cavallari were married for close to 10 years before calling their marriage a wrap and filing the paperwork.

The former couple share three kids, Camden, 9, Jaxon, 8 and Saylor, 6, who also played a big part in her recovery after the divorce.

"My kids have inspired me to become the best version of myself. I can only be as good to my kids as I am to myself," Cavallari continued during her appearance on The School of Greatness podcast.

Whatever happens, happens. Things work out how they're supposed to. At the end of the day, another day is ready to sprout.
