After a shooting that happened overnight at a gym in California, one person is dead and three others are hurt.
Shooting at California gym
Police said on Thursday that a shooting that occurred after a dispute broke out at a gym in the East Bay left one person dead and three others hurt.
At around 2:00 am, shots were fired in the parking lot of a 24 Hour Fitness gym, prompting police in the East Bay community of Brentwood to respond to a call.
An argument occurred inside the gym between a group of individuals and when they exited the building multiple shots were fired in the parking lot

Early on Thursday morning, a shooting took place at a 24 Hour Fitness in Brentwood.
The three victims are being treated at local hospitals, but their situations are still unknown.
There is no threat to public safety at this time. We will be releasing further information shortly
Police said in a 5:21 a.m. tweet
The basketball court in the gym is where the altercation allegedly began.
The person who was fatally shot has not been named.
According to police, this is a singular incidence.
On the sidewalk outside the building, one person died and three others were hurt. They were taken to nearby hospitals despite not knowing the degree of their injuries.

Reports state that one suspect has been arrested and another is being sought.

The identity of people involved are not being disclosed, but authorities are anticipated to provide an update later on Thursday.
