A man killed in a gunshot in Northeast D.C. close to the Kelly Miller Recreational Center has been identified by D.C. police.

Early on Sunday, a man was shot and killed in Northeast Washington, according to D.C. police.
The incident occurred in the 300 block of 50th Street NE after midnight on Sunday, according to a statement from the police.

Adrian Mack, 31, of Greenbelt, Maryland, was found, according to the police, with what appeared to be a gunshot wound.
According to the agency, DC Fire and EMS arrived on the scene and took Mack to the hospital, where he later passed away.
