Officers started searching beaches and shelters while requesting that locals keep an eye out for him.
However, police have confirmed that a body was unfortunately found while they were conducting their search.
On Rum Island’s coast, they made the discovery yesterday afternoon.
Despite the lack of legal identification, Andrew’s family has been contacted and notified of the discovery.
According to the police, the death was not thought to be suspicious. They also mentioned that the Fiscal Prosecutor would get a report.
