In the earlier today incident at a Legoland amusement park in Germany, two persons suffered serious injuries.
After one train slammed on the breaks, another sped at it and collided.
Firefighters had to rescue people from a theme park ride before flying them to the hospital. A spokeswoman for the amusement park confirmed to German media that it happened in the Fire Dragon attraction’s station.
Cause of Legoland rollercoaster crash
At least 34 people were hurt, including two who were seriously hurt, when two roller coaster trains collided on Thursday at an amusement park in southern Germany, according to German media.
The German news agency DPA said that a roller coaster train at the Legoland park in Günzburg abruptly braked, colliding with another train. Fire and rescue services were requested, and three helicopters were deployed to the area to assist.
The cause of the collision was not immediately apparent. A park official informed DPA that it happened in the Fire Dragon roller coaster’s station.
Another Roller coaster accident
Another roller coaster tragedy that claimed a woman’s life occurred last week at a theme park in Klotten, southwest Germany.
The 57-year-old woman was injured when she exited the roller coaster while it was moving and later passed away. The accident’s cause has not yet been determined.

This amusement park is owned by the same chain as Windsor’s Legoland and is located in the town of Günzburg, about 70 miles from Munich.
