“The M6 remains closed on the southbound side between Broughton and junction 31 at Samlesbury following an incident in the early hours of this morning,” a spokesperson said (Sunday).

“We are still on the scene doing investigations.”

“Sensors indicate that the road reopened around 14:05 this morning as a result of an overturned car.”

The M6 between junctions 32 (Broughton) and 31 (Samlesbury) is being reopened after being closed for nearly nine hours for investigation work following a serious collision.
