When Roger Triemstra was inducted into the WGN Radio Walk of Fame in 2018, the station prepared the following statement: “Roger Triemstra was a household name before Skilling. The South Holland-born meteorologist provided Chicago residents with the latest meteorological information. From 1965 through 1998, Triemstra provided more than 50 weather reports and humorous folktales every week, announcing some of his forecasts from the complete weather station at his house.
