However, that defeat served to further Lusardi’s international football career. He had his training at Sportivo Blas in his hometown of Colonel Oviedo, and he represented a number of teams while travelling abroad, including General Caballero and Libertad.

Hugo Lusardi, a former baseball player, passed away on Monday night around 7:30 AM, according to his brother Édgar Duarte.

Hugo Américo Lusardi Mornigo, also known as the “Meteorite,” passed away at the age of 39 from this sickness and after several days of valiant struggle. On Monday night, the day he went into a coma and was still struggling, the news was confirmed.
But without a doubt, his pinnacle moment came while he was a student at the Academy, where he was a member of the famous American team that finished second in 2014 and fell to San Lorenzo de Almagro in the Copa Libertadores final.
Additionally, he played soccer for Monagas in Venezuela, for Cobreloa and Palestino in Chile, and for a brief while for Deportes Tolima in Colombia.
Hugo Lusardi career
He signed with Monagas in simple lands to play out a season in 2009 before coming back to Sportivo Luqueo. After passing through Olimpia and Nacional two years later, he headed to Chile to defend Cobreloa (2011) before moving on to Palestino (2012).
He arrived at Deportes Tolima de Colombia in 2013, and twelve months later it was etched in the memories of the tricolour supporters. However, his odyssey did not end there. which saw him never leave his country again but did wear new uniforms as he finished his career at Club Atlético Tembetary (2021).

It should be emphasised that the athlete intended to continue playing, but the aforementioned disease stopped him from doing so. As a result, both his former colleagues and the Nacional board provided financial support to him recently in order to cover the expensive costs of the therapy.
