Herrin posted the identical image in October 2014. Ramirez wrote in the image’s caption that all the sisters were now present.

Kymberly Herrin cause of death

The blonde beauty passed away on October 28. She was best known for her role as the “Dream Ghost” girl opposite Dan Ackroyd in the 1984 classic movie Ghostbusters.

Herrin’s family has requested that donations be made in her honour to the American Cancer Society even though her cause of death is still unknown, according to the Santa Barbara News-Press.

In order to get feedback on the occurrence, Daily Info Express is attempting to contact family and relatives. Still no response. Once we have enough data, we will update the page. Soon, more details regarding Kymberly Herrin’s Cause of Death will be added.

Who was Kymberly Herrin?

California native Kymberly Herrin resided in Santa Barbara. She produced a music video for the ZZ Top song Legs from 1983. She appeared in the legendary 1980s films Romancing the Stone and Ghostbusters. She portrayed a ghost in the 1884 film Ghostbusters.

When Stanz was dreaming in the famous Ghostbusters scene, a lovely apparition hovered above him and loosened his belt buckle. Aykroyd mentioned having worked with Herrin in an interview in 2021.

Her mother Billie Dodson, brother Mark Herrin, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, and grandnephews all survive Herrin.

Herrin chosen as a Playboy Playmate

After being chosen as a Playmate, Herrin had a busy career in the 1980s and appeared on two covers of Playboy in 1982 and 1983.

On a 1979 episode of Playboy’s Roller Disco & Pajama Party, she made an appearance and said that her family had supported her decision to pose for the publication.

Everyone is quite pleased, especially my father, Herrin said, adding with a chuckle, “He gets every issue of Playboy.”

Herrin audition for ‘Eliminator girl’

Her replacement for the previous blonde “Eliminator girl,” who reportedly did not get along with the other two, brought Herrin in for an audition.

She told author Marc Tyler Nobleman, “I peered out the window into the waiting area and there must have been about 15-20 lovely girls.”

“Miniskirts, stiletto heels, flawless makeup, hair, and nails. I was on the verge of leaving, hopping on the 101, and making a beeline for home. When I entered the room, the females gave me a perplexed look as if to say, “Oh, she’s no competition.”

“They called my name and I met the boys in the band,” Herrin recalled. I expressed regret for how I appeared. I followed up by asking whether anyone had mineral water, or better yet, a beer. They had to be thirsty as well.

She revealed: “The beer was brought out, and we got right to talking about everything, including motorbikes, chilli cook-offs, and Santa Barbara.” and in S.B., we shared buddies. They were really sweet guys. We got along well.

I was the third lady and I was new, so I didn’t believe I would even be visible in the film, she said, adding that it was “a blast” to do the music video. They consistently pushed me to the back. On screen, they claimed that my red top stood out.

She remembered later: “We were compensated pretty nicely. For the session, each of us received more than $2,000—a significant sum for a video dancer. Most people won’t think it’s true. I would have done it for nothing!

She became famous all over the world thanks to the music video, becoming recognisable to complete strangers in places like East Africa and Australia. She claimed, “The Australians treated me like an American movie star.” I was stunned, you know.

‘Dream Ghost’ role in Ghostbusters

She played a supporting role in the 1987 film Beverly Hills Cop II and the 1984 rom-com classic Romancing the Stone starring Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner, and Danny DeVito.

The Santa Barbara native, however, is perhaps best known for his 1984 performance as the “Dream Ghost” in the Ghostbusters film.

Aykroyd’s Ray Stantz awakens at the team’s fire station offices to discover a ghost hanging over him wearing a flowing lilac dress in the iconic scene.

Before the scene switches to a shot of the former Saturday Night Live cast member sleeping and dreaming, Herrin’s portrayal of the “Dream Ghost” unbuckles his belt and unzips his pants.

Years later, she recalled how she just “walked in for my audition and they told me to untie my hair and shake it.” On that day, I was informed that I had been cast as the dream ghost.

She teased, “Danny didn’t know [in advance] that I was going to be in that scene, but we had already partied in Santa Barbara and New York,” before revealing herself.

I did not date anyone from the Ghostbusters, she clarified. One late night, Danny tried, but I told him that we were only friends.

In a recent interview with Polygon in 2021, Ackroyd recalled the suggestive sequence with fondness.

“Yes, I can recall the actress who performed that. Playboy Playmate Kym Herrin went by that name. She performed as a ghost. He recalled, “Like, I wish they’d let the sequence continue a bit longer.

Even after saying that he didn’t think the sequence was improbable, the actor said, “Sexual experiences with spirits are very, very common.”

And some people I know who have houses with a presence don’t try to clean them out, he continued. You know what, I’m going to put up with it and live with it, they declare.

In the 1980s, Herrin made a lot of appearances on television and film, including one as a party girl in the Patrick Swayze film Road House.

She just so happened to have a small part in Don Cheadle’s directorial debut, the comedy about traffic school Moving Violations.

As her career developed, she was also able to branch out into television, scoring a guest role in a dream scene on the medical drama St. Elsewhere.

She was drawn back into the music industry, and on the over-an-hour-long live album eXposed by KISS in 1987, she might be seen in a bikini.

Herrin even made his literary debut by collaborating with Richard Benyo on a book titled The Sexercise Book, which offered readers a “special exercise regimen meant to maximise your overall sexual enjoyment.”

Screen career slowed down in the 1990s

Despite a slight slowdown in her screen career in the 1990s, she made a comeback in the Don Swayze-starring 1996 film Squanderers.

Herrin was a travel enthusiast who lived on a 75-foot yacht for several years while travelling along the California coast and through the Panama Canal when she wasn’t performing in show business.

However, she experienced some personal catastrophes, particularly with reference to the men she was seeing.

One 12-year-old boyfriend passed away from liver cirrhosis, another died in a Kauai diving accident, and a fiancée passed away from leukemia.

Her home was among the 210 that the iconic Montecito Tea Fire destroyed in 2008; the fire earned its moniker because it was discovered to have originated at a bonfire celebration held in a vacant historic structure known as the “Tea House.”

In the fire, Herrin lost “all my material possessions.” She recalled, “I fled the house in my pyjamas with my cat.” I could smell the beginning of my hair burning.

In a picture posted to Facebook by her niece Theresa Ramirez, Herrin can be seen sitting with her two sisters, who are both now deceased.

They’re all gathered now, I see. [heart-broken emoji] Uncle Kym Herrin, with a heart emoji. She wrote in the caption, “I love you.

Warm words for Herrin were abundant in the comments. One close friend wrote: “Kym was so nice and had a sweetness that the world needs now more than ever.” Godspeed and prayers go out to you and your family.

Another commenter said, “She was so special to so many people, I am not sure she knew how many people loved and adored her.” “Her sense of humour and her empathy for others always struck me.” Words are insufficient. Heartache.’

Kym and I were great friends for years in our twenties, one of her former friends wrote. There are so many wacky, enjoyable, challenging, thrilling, heartbreaking, and joyful memories of my great friend. She referred to us as Salt and Pepper. My heart is shattered.

Another acquaintance wrote: “Kim and I both had pet rats. It was a sweetly funny narrative. We would load them into the basket of our stingray bikes and ride them around. Jojo was the name of her rat, and Nickel was mine.

The friend continued, “We celebrated my rat’s birthday at the dining room table with swirling cheese.” It was amusing to observe the rat eat the cheese with its snout first.

Theresa, her other niece Stephanie Ross, nephews Brandon Herrin and Trevor Triegor, as well as a large number of grandnieces and grandnephews, remain as survivors of Herrin.
