Drammenser Audun Heimdal passed away from cancer in the evening of Saturday. He survived for 25 years.
Who was Audun Heimdal?
Norwegian orienteering and ski orienteering competitor Audun Heimdal (8 February 1997 – 20 August 2022).
In the middle distance at the 2019 World Ski Orienteering Championships, he took home a silver medal. In both orienteering and ski orienteering, Heimdal ran for the national team.

He was enrolled in a different class during the NM week of orienteering just over a year ago. He won the intermediate race by two minutes there, and the following day, he won the relay for another gold.
Countryman Audun Heimdal of Baklids won the pursuit event at the 2021 World Ski Orienteering Championships. He joined the Konnerud IL (SkiO) and NTNUI (FootO) clubs as a result of his sportsmanship.

Audun Heimdal’s cause of death
Audun Heimdal received a stomach cancer diagnosis around Easter. According to Heggedal, it was a form of cancer that was incurable.
He was an excellent person. In all the years he has been involved, he has had a tremendous amount to say about the environment.

Why Audun Heimdal was a role model for many?
A good boy to work with who is dependable. He attended every training session and never voiced any complaints. He was always a role model, never the one who took up the most room. He made every effort to perform at his best.
Everyone has admired and appreciated him. He is someone who everyone looks up to. Heimdal attended NTNU part-time and pursued a master’s in materials engineering; he was set to graduate the following summer

Audun has had a significant impact on many individuals, and he will be sadly missed, according to Strmer.
