Oliver Goethe, a Team Campos driver, and Zane Maloney, a Trident driver, collided horribly as they came off of a bend at high speeds.

Ultimately, both cars made it to their destinations safely, but not without severe damage.

The Trident driver’s vehicle briefly rose into the air as it rammed into Goethe’s left rear wheel before colliding with the tyre wall’s reinforcements.

Maloney’s vehicle first ended up upright again after tipping over on its roof when both drivers were propelled head-on into the guardrail. Racer Goethe, a German-Dane, bounced off the wall, passed his competitors in the air, and finally came to a rest in the gravel.

A virtual safety car was instantly sent out to warn other drivers of the collision and slow down any vehicles still on the circuit as Maloney and Goethe remained idling in their cars.

Following the incident, it was evident from the video that Maloney’s car had been completely wrecked, with the majority of the bodywork damaged and the rear spoiler hanging by a thread.

Drivers saved themselves in crash in Formula 3

Maloney’s car swerved around its roof as both drivers were being forced downward and against the barrier before finally coming to rest upright. Racer Goethe, a German-Danish, tumbled off the bank and passed under his rivals mid-air agent before coming to a halt in the gravel.

Maloney and Goethe remained parked in their vehicles while a basic protection car was soon dispatched to alert further drivers to the collision and slow down the vehicles that were still moving.

The video’s aftereffects revealed that Maloney’s car had been completely wrecked by the impact, with the rear end hanging on by a thread and much of the bodywork in bits. After the alarmingly fast collision, protection personnel once recovered Goethe’s F3 vehicle.

Both of them were able to exit their vehicles once more when the accretion banal began and a red banderole ordered all drivers to alternate into the pits.

The video demonstrates the aura protection system’s potential to prevent accidents, with Maloney being sufficiently saved from harm by the weight of the automobile on his neck and arch when it was installed in 2018.

Some motorists who were first opposed to the idea of the aura are now convinced of its necessity following a series of high-profile accidents in which the affection has been seen to save lives of motorists.

At the Silverstone F1 Grand Prix in July, Zhou Guanyu’s Alfa Romeo skidded upside down before rolling over the tyre bank and avoided serious injury as a result.

After the horrifying high-speed collision, security agents were able to recover Goethe’s F3 vehicle.

When a red flag signalled for all drivers to return to the pits while repairs got underway, both eventually managed to exit their vehicles.

The video demonstrates the effectiveness of the halo safety system, which was put in place in 2018 to shield drivers from severe collisions. Maloney was spared from having the weight of the vehicle fall directly on his head and neck.

After a number of high-profile accidents where the halo feature has saved drivers’ lives, several drivers who once opposed the notion have come around.
