Following what authorities have described as a boating accident near Boca Chita Island, which is situated just north of the upper Keys in Biscayne Bay, multiple people were sent to nearby hospitals, according to the first report from WSVN.
Around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, the U.S. Coast Guard, Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, Miami-Dade Police, and Miami-Dade Fire Rescue all arrived on the scene to assist.

According to the first reports, a boat with about a dozen passengers on board hit a pole. The wounded were taken by first responders to Black Point Marina in South Miami-Dade, where paramedics then airlifted three patients to nearby hospitals and evacuated the remaining victims via ground.

The victim who was missing was later discovered. The victims were taken to Black Point Marina in South Miami-Dade by emergency personnel, and paramedics then drove them to nearby hospitals.
Three of the victims, according to MDFR officials, were flown. As soon as a rescue chopper touched down at Jackson South Medical Center, personnel were seen carrying a female patient out of the vehicle by 7News cameras. She has a critical condition designation.
Family members were seen chatting with emergency personnel at Black Point Marina as they awaited the arrival of the final fire boat.
